Printmaking

I make linocuts and sometimes combine them with screen printing. The prints are reactions to experiences from my life that have triggered a moment of happiness. I hope that despite people not knowing the back story, some of the feelings that motivated the image, will transfer to the viewer. My design background has an obvious influence on the work, which is often bold and reductive; a combination of observation and imagination. They are all handprinted on archival paper, in limited editions.

PRINTMAKING PROJECT
Seaside Steam Print was a community arts event that I dreamt up. I secured funding and organised it all, from finding the steam roller, to the publicity, social media, rostering volunteers etc, etc. A fun, if windy day, was had by all, thanks to the many volunteers, the DC gallery and my Dad. I'm the one in the orange high vis jacket!
